Xenos implements and extends the DSS algorithm invented by Iannis Xenakis. Programmed in C++ with the JUCE framework, it is open-source, cross-platform, and available in a number of plug‑in formats.

Xenharmonic & microtonal ready

Explore beyond 12‑TET with the built‑in xenharmonic pitch quantizer and import custom scales in the Scala format. Xenos embraces just intonation and alternative tunings effortlessly.

Stochastic distributions & random walks

Choose from ten stochastic distributions with up to two parameters each, plus first‑ and second‑order random walks. Shape waveforms with variable segments per cycle and amplitude envelopes.

Polyphonic & expressive

128 voices by default, full MIDI implementation (notes, sustain, pitch bend), and external controller assignment. Parameter automation is fully supported.
